Job Summary

The City and County of San Francisco is seeking a highly skilled Senior Behavioral Health Clinician to join our team. As a Senior Behavioral Health Clinician, you will be responsible for providing high-quality behavioral health services to clients in a variety of settings, including hospitals, clinics, and community-based programs.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide individual, group, and family therapy to clients with a range of mental health needs, including anxiety, depression, trauma, and substance use disorders.
  • Conduct comprehensive assessments and develop treatment plans that address the unique needs of each client.
  • Collaborate with other healthcare professionals, including psychiatrists, psychologists, and social workers, to provide comprehensive care to clients.
  • Develop and implement evidence-based treatment programs, including cognitive-behavioral therapy, dialectical behavior therapy, and trauma-informed care.
  • Provide education and support to clients and their families on mental health topics, including coping skills, stress management, and crisis intervention.
  • Participate in quality improvement initiatives to ensure that services are delivered in a safe, effective, and efficient manner.
Requirements
  • Master's degree in social work, psychology, or a related field.
  • Valid California license as a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW), Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT), or Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor (LPCC).
  • At least 2 years of experience providing behavioral health services to adults, adolescents, or children.
  • Strong assessment and treatment planning skills, with the ability to work with a diverse range of clients and presenting issues.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with clients, families, and other healthcare professionals.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and prioritize multiple tasks and responsibilities.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience working with diverse populations, including racial and ethnic minorities, LGBTQ+ individuals, and individuals with disabilities.
  • Knowledge of evidence-based treatment programs, including cognitive-behavioral therapy, dialectical behavior therapy, and trauma-informed care.
  • Experience with electronic health records and other technology systems.
  • Ability to speak multiple languages, including Spanish, Chinese, or other languages commonly spoken in San Francisco.
