Position Overview:

Join our dedicated team at Albany Medical Center as a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) in our Pediatric division. This is a Per Diem role, primarily focused on providing exceptional care to our young patients.

Work Schedule: Fridays from 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver direct patient care and monitor vital signs.
  • Engage with patients and collaborate with healthcare staff.
  • Assist in medical procedures and perform diagnostic tests.
  • Conduct venipuncture and manage prescription call-backs.
  • Maintain an organized inventory of medical supplies.

Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or G.E.D. required.
  • Previous experience in patient care is essential.
  • Current LPN licensure in the state.
  • Strong communication skills are a must.

Physical Requirements:

  • Standing and walking are required constantly.
  • Lifting and carrying tasks are performed frequently.
  • Pushing and pulling activities occur occasionally.
  • Reaching is necessary on a frequent basis.

Working Environment:

  • Exposure to noise is constant.
  • Potential hazards are present frequently.
