Position Overview:
Join our dedicated team at Albany Medical Center as a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) in our Pediatric division. This is a Per Diem role, primarily focused on providing exceptional care to our young patients.
Work Schedule: Fridays from 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM.
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver direct patient care and monitor vital signs.
- Engage with patients and collaborate with healthcare staff.
- Assist in medical procedures and perform diagnostic tests.
- Conduct venipuncture and manage prescription call-backs.
- Maintain an organized inventory of medical supplies.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or G.E.D. required.
- Previous experience in patient care is essential.
- Current LPN licensure in the state.
- Strong communication skills are a must.
Physical Requirements:
- Standing and walking are required constantly.
- Lifting and carrying tasks are performed frequently.
- Pushing and pulling activities occur occasionally.
- Reaching is necessary on a frequent basis.
Working Environment:
- Exposure to noise is constant.
- Potential hazards are present frequently.
