Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Surveillance Technician to join our team at Route 66 Casino Hotel Campus. As a Surveillance Technician, you will be responsible for maintaining all surveillance electrical equipment and reporting any equipment problems promptly.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform preventative maintenance on surveillance equipment to ensure optimal performance.
  • Conduct daily cleaning and maintenance of surveillance equipment to prevent malfunctions.
  • Aid in the movement and addition of surveillance equipment as needed.
  • Use, maintain, and troubleshoot digital video/audio surveillance equipment to monitor gaming activities using multiple monitors.
  • Maintain a professional work ethic at all times and adhere to departmental confidentiality requirements.
  • Work effectively with Surveillance staff and follow instructions given by supervisors.
  • Work odd and unusual hours, including weekends and holidays, to ensure 24/7 surveillance coverage.
  • Maintain knowledge of surveillance methods and procedures, as well as gaming rules and regulations.
  • Be knowledgeable of or willing to learn gaming rules, regulations, and procedures for table games and video slot machines.
  • Maintain strict confidentiality of duties, reports, investigations, and any other job-related information at all times.
  • Follow standard operating procedures and departmental operating guidelines.
  • Make quick decisions under stressful conditions and perform additional duties as necessary or assigned.
Requirements
  • High School Diploma or GED preferred.
  • Must have relevant work experience in electronics or networking.
  • Technical Certificate in electronics or networking preferred.
  • Proficient in basic computer skills, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
  • Lifts, such as boom scissor and man lifts, and electrician tools, including crimps, cutters, splicers, and testing equipment.
  • Knowledge of general surveillance viewing applications and networking.
Work Environment

The job is performed indoors and outdoors with exposure to hot/cold temperatures and within confined areas.

Other Requirements
  • Obtain and maintain a gaming license through the Pueblo of Laguna's Gaming Control Board and provide/maintain a valid New Mexico driver's license.
  • Comply with LDC and the Federal Government Bank Secrecy Act by acquiring and/or maintaining a Title 31 Certification.
  • Attend and pass surveillance training classes and courses.
  • Obtain and maintain a lift operating license.
  • Pass a pre-employment drug screening.
