Job Summary

The Desktop Support Technician I is a key member of the Information Systems team, responsible for providing high-quality technical support to end-users. This role involves installing, configuring, and maintaining workstation and peripheral equipment, as well as resolving technical issues reported by the Service Desk.

Key Responsibilities
  • Install and configure workstation and peripheral equipment
  • Resolve technical issues reported by the Service Desk
  • Implement new functionality and upgrades
  • Document and adhere to policies, procedures, and standards
  • Deliver high-quality, cost-effective solutions to users
Requirements
  • High School degree or equivalent required
  • Post-high school Information Systems coursework preferred
  • IT-based certification preferred
  • Valid New Mexico Driver's License required
Preferred Qualifications
  • One-year experience in PC installation, maintenance, troubleshooting, and support
Working Conditions

The Desktop Support Technician I will work in a general office setting with exposure to a computer room environment. The role may involve exposure to patient care and ancillary biohazards, as well as extended video display exposure and keyboard use.

Physical Requirements

The successful candidate will be able to lift and transfer objects typically not in excess of 50 lbs. and may be required to reach objects up to 8 ft. above the floor with the assistance of a step stool.
