Desktop Support Technician

The Desktop Support Technician I is a key member of the Information Systems team, responsible for providing high-quality technical support to end-users. This role involves installing, configuring, and maintaining workstation and peripheral equipment, as well as resolving technical issues reported by the Service Desk.
Key Responsibilities- Install and configure workstation and peripheral equipment
- Resolve technical issues reported by the Service Desk
- Implement new functionality and document processes
- Deliver high-quality, cost-effective solutions to users
- Support business goals and objectives
- High School degree or equivalent required
- Post-high school Information Systems coursework preferred
- IT-based certification preferred
- Valid New Mexico Driver's License required
- Demonstrated customer service skills
- Basic knowledge of desktop operating systems and related software
- Excellent problem-solving and communication skills
- Good technical writing and documentation skills
The Desktop Support Technician I will work in a general office setting with exposure to a computer room environment. The role may involve exposure to patient care and ancillary biohazards. The technician will be required to lift and transfer objects typically not in excess of 50 lbs and may be required to reach objects up to 8 ft above the floor with the assistance of a step stool.
