Adjunct Instructor, Philosophy for Prison Location

In this role, you will provide instruction for the Inmate Education Program, teaching philosophy classes using face-to-face delivery. You will be responsible for implementing curriculum and performing other duties as assigned. A master's degree in philosophy or a closely related field is required, as well as the ability to maintain confidentiality and demonstrate sensitivity to diverse student backgrounds.
Responsibilities- Provide quality instruction in philosophy classes
- Implement curriculum and lead in the development of educational programs
- Perform other duties as assigned by the Director of the Correctional Education Program
- Master's degree in philosophy or a closely related field
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and demonstrate sensitivity to diverse student backgrounds
- Valid Texas Driver's License
- Doctorate in philosophy degree from a regionally accredited institution of higher education
- Ability to understand teaching and evaluation methodologies
- Ability to deal with students, faculty, and staff in a professional manner
This position requires occasional travel and the ability to work in a normal classroom setting with some hazardous conditions.
Salary and BenefitsThe salary for this position is $2,200 per class per semester, with benefits to be determined.
