Job Summary

We are seeking a qualified Adjunct Instructor to teach philosophy classes in a correctional education setting. The successful candidate will provide high-quality instruction, maintain a safe and respectful learning environment, and demonstrate sensitivity to the needs of students from diverse backgrounds.

Key Responsibilities
  • Teach philosophy classes using face-to-face delivery and implement curriculum as assigned
  • Maintain confidentiality and adhere to security protocols
  • Develop and maintain effective working relationships with students, faculty, and staff
  • Meet and maintain clearance requirements of the FCC-Beaumont and Texas Department of Criminal Justice
Requirements
  • Master's degree in philosophy or a closely related field
  • 18 graduate hours in philosophy or a closely related field
  • Ability to work independently and with minimal supervision
  • Valid Texas Driver's License
Preferred Qualifications
  • Doctorate in philosophy degree from a regionally accredited institution of higher education
  • Ability to understand teaching and evaluation methodologies
  • Ability to plan, schedule, and manage projects and assignments
Compensation

$2,200 per class per semester
