We are seeking a qualified Adjunct Instructor to teach philosophy classes in a correctional education setting. The successful candidate will provide high-quality instruction, maintain a safe and respectful learning environment, and demonstrate sensitivity to the needs of students from diverse backgrounds.
Key Responsibilities- Teach philosophy classes using face-to-face delivery and implement curriculum as assigned
- Maintain confidentiality and adhere to security protocols
- Develop and maintain effective working relationships with students, faculty, and staff
- Meet and maintain clearance requirements of the FCC-Beaumont and Texas Department of Criminal Justice
- Master's degree in philosophy or a closely related field
- 18 graduate hours in philosophy or a closely related field
- Ability to work independently and with minimal supervision
- Valid Texas Driver's License
- Doctorate in philosophy degree from a regionally accredited institution of higher education
- Ability to understand teaching and evaluation methodologies
- Ability to plan, schedule, and manage projects and assignments
$2,200 per class per semester
