Pulmonary Function Technician Job Summary:

The Pulmonary Function Technician is responsible for performing all tests, ensuring quality assurance, and maintaining equipment. This role also involves training, proficiency testing, and developing policies and procedures. Additionally, the technician assists the pulmonary medicine department with emergency equipment inventory, ordering, and restocking supplies, as well as performing arterial blood gas draws.

Key Responsibilities:

Respond promptly to stat requests and produce accurate, well-presented reports.
Expedite interpretation and communicate results effectively.
Provide technical support in other sections of medicine as needed, such as Cardiology and GI, including arterial blood gas draws and analysis.

Requirements:

Registered Cardiopulmonary Technologist (RPFT)
Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
