We are seeking a highly skilled Sanitarian to join our team at Compass Group, North America. As a Sanitarian, you will be responsible for ensuring the highest standards of food safety and sanitation in our facilities.
Key Responsibilities:- Develop and implement food safety and sanitation programs to minimize company risk and protect employees and guests.
- Conduct regular inspections of food and beverage storage areas to ensure cleanliness and health code standards are met.
- Supervise and coordinate activities of workers engaged in duties concerned with sanitation programs in food processing.
- Train food handlers and production personnel in sanitary and pest-control procedures.
- Direct cleaning of equipment and work areas.
- Develop and monitor systems within the department to eliminate food-borne illnesses.
- Develop, implement, and conduct regular staff training on departmental standards and work 'hands on' as required.
- Complete all administrative duties needed to perform job function as required.
- Develop, implement, and maintain departmental standards and procedures in conjunction with the management team.
- Maintain a positive work environment with all staff and a team-oriented approach to accomplish tasks.
- Serv-Safe certified to ensure full knowledge of Food Service Sanitation.
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- 2+ years of experience in food safety and sanitation.
- Knowledge of food service sanitation and safety regulations.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and prioritize tasks effectively.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
