Responsibilities of the Senior Vice President
• Independently manage and oversee the creation of financial and operational models (e.g., three-statement models, 13-week forecasts, EBITDA opportunity assessments)
• Lead various project components across multiple service lines and autonomously manage smaller projects
• Demonstrate the ability to conduct mid-level client interactions with minimal oversight
• Draft initial proposals and proactively seek improvements in proposal quality
• Develop clear and concise messaging for both internal and external communications (including pitches, marketing materials, and client correspondence)
• Facilitate client interviews and ensure comprehensive data collection
• Supervise the work of 1-2 junior team members or clients
• Adhere to a quality control process for all work and rigorously review the work of others
• Contribute to the development of firm initiatives, such as recruiting, professional development, and marketing
Qualifications for the Senior Vice President
  • Minimum of 7 years of experience in corporate restructuring or management consulting with a financial or accounting focus (required)
Bachelor's degree from a prestigious undergraduate business program; MBA, CFA, or CPA preferred but not mandatory
Complete proficiency in developing and interpreting financial models and strong presentation skills
Ability to analyze qualitative and quantitative data, providing insights and recommendations
Proven capability to lead project components across various service lines and manage smaller projects independently
Exceptional written and verbal communication skills
Demonstrated ability to collaborate effectively with junior and senior team members, senior management, and stakeholders at all levels
A proactive approach and willingness to engage in tasks typically assigned to Associates when necessary
Capacity to lead internal initiatives (e.g., marketing, client pitches, recruiting)
Highly skilled in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel and PowerPoint
Willingness to travel and ability to work in both office and remote settings; physically capable of sitting/standing at a computer for extended periods
Authorization to work in the United States
Commitment to upholding MERU's values and core principles
Compensation ranges from $125,000 to $180,000 annually

In addition to a competitive salary, MERU offers an attractive bonus program based on individual contributions, adherence to core values, and overall performance.
