Job Overview

MJ CARE INC is seeking a highly skilled Speech Language Pathologist to join our team in providing exceptional speech-language pathology services to children with exceptional educational needs.

Salary Information:

The estimated annual salary for this role is $65,000-$85,000, depending on experience and location.

Job Responsibilities:

We are looking for an experienced Speech Language Pathologist to work collaboratively with our education staff to provide direct and consultative services to children who require speech-language pathology to benefit from special education. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in developing and implementing school-based speech-language pathology programs, including conducting evaluations, creating IEPs, and providing direct therapy services.

Key Qualifications:

  • Master's Degree in Speech Language Pathology from a school accredited by the American Speech Language Hearing Association
  • Current Department of Public Instruction license in good standing required for Wisconsin positions
  • Current Illinois State Board of Education license in good standing required for Illinois positions
  • Certificate of Clinical Competence is required for SLPs in a mentor role and is highly recommended when filling school-based assignments

Skills and Knowledge:

  • Proficient computer skills, including Microsoft Office and billing software
  • Strong communication and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interact effectively with students, parents, and education staff
  • Ability to maintain accurate records and meet deadlines
  • Valid driver's license in the state you reside, acceptable driving record, reliable vehicle, and proof of valid auto insurance per state requirements

Working Conditions:

This role requires frequent travel to and among schools to provide services to children. The ideal candidate will be able to safely transport and transfer students as necessary, follow infection control policies, and work in a fast-paced environment.
