GENERAL SUMMARY:

This is an hourly position that reports to the IT Manager and will assist in all information technology related operations, troubleshooting, and maintenance of the technology infrastructure, systems, and end-point devices. Connect to our network devices that include laptops, PCs, printers, copiers, and faxes throughout the organization.

SCOPE OF JOB FUNCTION
  • Support and resolve help desk issues/tickets by gathering to identify needs, security, and industry best practice solutions.
  • Installs, configures, and deploys PC and server hardware, as well as software including operating systems, applications, and patches, to support and maintain effective service operations.
  • Supports, troubleshoots, repairs, and maintains server issues and security for enterprise and large-scale applications.
  • Provides Active Directory Management assistance to staff in managing user and computer accounts.
  • Troubleshoots, reviews, and resolves blocked websites; performs various duties related to web filter management.
  • Manages, deploys, configures, and maintains servers in both virtualized and traditional environments.
  • Actively monitors systems and networks, diagnosing and resolving complex software and networking issues while automating routine tasks.
  • Provides support for device management (MDM) and application packaging.
  • Installs PC and server hardware and components, models, and tests changes in a test environment before implementing them on production systems.
  • Supports directory services infrastructure, including hardware configuration and upgrades, group architecture, account maintenance, and MFA authentication for network access.
  • Creates and maintains written and verbal procedures; prepares written technical documentation, training materials, standards, reports, and other documents as assigned.
  • Evaluates systems and alternate solutions, develops functional specifications, standards, and requirements for hardware and software purchases and design to ensure optimum system and end-user performance.
  • Provides general networking and other technical support as needed.
  • Prepares and maintains various records and reports related to assigned activities.
  • In-depth technical experience with Office 365: Exchange Online, Teams, and SharePoint, including management of user accounts, troubleshooting, and maintenance.
  • Attends and participates in meetings, conferences, and in-service training.
  • Familiarity with industry-standard best practices for infrastructure principles, theories, and security practices.
  • Understanding of networking protocols and topology; uses network management software, including Active Directory and computer management software applications.
  • Image development and deployment, including application delivery and electronic inventory tracking.
  • Knowledge of networking concepts, practices, and troubleshooting techniques.
  • Understanding of security, including user directory structures and group policy.
  • Develops functional specifications, standards, and design requirements to assure optimum system and end-user performance.
  • Ability to understand and carry out oral and written instructions.
  • Communicates clearly and concisely, both orally and in writing.
  • Establishes and maintains cooperative and effective working relationships with others.
  • Stays current with technology changes and learns new systems/network methodologies.
  • Performs well under constant interruptions.
  • Meets schedules and timelines.
  • Other duties as assigned.
SKILLS/KNOWLEDGE/EXPERIENCE

REQUIRED:
  • B.S. Degree in Information Systems or other IT-related degree.
  • 2-3 years of IT experience with hardware and software applications.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to analyze processes, identify problems, and deliver solutions.
DESIRED:
  • 5% travel may be required between manufacturing plants.
  • Experience, preferably in the food manufacturing industry.
  • Business Acumen.
