ASSISTANT MEDIA MANAGER - AERIE BRAND MEDIA

YOUR ROLE:

As the Assistant Media Manager for Aerie, you will collaborate closely with the Senior Manager to craft and implement the brand's media strategies for one of the most dynamic names in retail. Joining a dedicated team of creative marketers at Aerie, your focus will be on designing innovative media campaigns that resonate with new audiences, encouraging them to embrace the Aerie brand as loyal customers. By fostering strong collaborations with various teams, including creative, public relations, and influencer marketing, you will gain essential insights into the comprehensive marketing operations that drive this iconic brand forward. This role presents daily challenges that inspire growth and creativity as we share the message of REAL.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

*Reports to Senior Manager of Brand Media & Partnerships

Strategic Brand Planning
  • Grasp seasonal business objectives that shape marketing initiatives and the testing roadmap to meet brand and campaign targets.
  • In close collaboration with the Senior Manager, take ownership of the campaign strategy and planning across various media channels, audience segmentation, budget distribution, and creative testing to achieve desired outcomes.
  • Partner with the Brand Director in Canada to recognize and plan for cultural, audience, and creative distinctions between regions compared to the U.S. that may influence media campaigns.
Execution Management
  • Work alongside creative and brand teams to bring media content to life across paid channels, adhering to media best practices; collaborate with the brand coordinator to ensure the accuracy of creative requests, timely delivery to agencies, and ongoing updates throughout the season.
  • Engage with influencer and creator teams to identify content for media campaigns, monitor performance, and share insights continuously.
  • Collaborate with the agency of record to formulate media strategies; ensure that media plans meet established goals, campaigns launch punctually, and conduct quality assurance of creative and campaign tagging to track performance through platforms and data reporting tools.
Performance Measurement and Reporting
  • Utilize various measurement tools to assess the impact of media campaigns on key performance indicators, including but not limited to CPM, CTR, iCPA, and iROAS, to inform strategic optimization decisions.
  • Partner with the agency to track campaign performance, identify optimization opportunities, and generate reports to communicate results with cross-functional teams on a weekly, monthly, and seasonal basis.
  • Meticulously document the media plan strategy and tactical details upfront, ongoing performance results during the campaign, and necessary optimizations based on key insights.
QUALIFICATIONS:
  • 5-7 years of media experience with a strategic perspective on developing media plans that support marketing strategies.
  • Experience in retail and/or agency settings is advantageous; familiarity with experiential programs is a plus.
  • Knowledge of programmatic media buying, paid social media, print, and out-of-home advertising.
  • Experience in audience strategy development and collaboration with CRM teams.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects of varying complexity simultaneously.
  • Proven track record of taking ownership of project outcomes and leading discussions with relevant cross-functional teams.
  • Growth-oriented mindset, results-driven, and thrives in a test-and-learn environment.
  • Exceptional communication and follow-up skills.
  • Effective in various formal presentation settings, including one-on-one, small groups, and larger audiences.
  • Self-motivated with a keen attention to detail, deadlines, and reporting.
  • High proficiency in data analysis through software such as Google Analytics, Paid Marketing Channel Platforms, Tableau, Excel, and similar attribution models.

COMPENSATION AND BENEFITS:
  • Starting pay is determined by various factors, including relevant experience and location.
