The Automotive Service Consultant serves as the primary communication hub for service and repair operations, acting as the intermediary between clients and technicians. As the main point of contact for all automotive service inquiries, the Consultant must attentively listen to and comprehend customer concerns, coordinate necessary services or repairs, and manage expectations for both customers and technicians regarding service timelines. This role ensures that customers are well-informed about required repairs and recommended maintenance, while also providing updates on the status of their vehicles. Our Consultants strive to ensure that customers feel confident their vehicles will be serviced correctly and efficiently.

Key Responsibilities
  • Organizes service appointments for customers, either in person or via phone, to guarantee accurate and timely diagnosis of issues.
  • Provides repair suggestions and oversees the execution of repairs by setting and managing customer expectations.
  • Ensures all necessary documentation is completed and adheres to industry regulations and standards.
  • Follows and enforces all safety protocols and procedures.
  • Participates in all staff meetings, training sessions, and educational programs as required.
  • Assists in the training and onboarding of new team members.
  • Performs additional duties as assigned.
Position Requirements

Qualifications
  • High school diploma or GED is required.
  • Post-secondary automotive training or equivalent experience is preferred.
  • At least one year of experience in a dealership or large facility is desirable.
  • Comprehensive knowledge of automotive mechanical and electrical systems.
  • Maintains a neat, clean, and professional appearance.
  • Exhibits a friendly demeanor and an outgoing personality.
  • Demonstrates professionalism and reliability.
  • Possesses excellent communication, customer service, and problem-solving skills, including the ability to remain calm under pressure.
  • Displays strong follow-up skills to keep customers informed about their vehicle's status.
  • Has exceptional interpersonal skills to interact professionally with customers, vendors, and colleagues.
  • Must have an unrestricted driver's license and a clean driving record.
  • Able to operate both automatic and manual transmission vehicles.
  • Basic computer and internet proficiency.
