POSITION SUMMARY: We are looking for a skilled individual to construct and maintain automation machinery both at our facility and on client premises.

Compensation: Competitive hourly wage

Key Responsibilities
  • Assemble intricate automated machinery and extensive automation systems.
  • Contribute to the design and construction of machinery and tooling.
  • Conduct testing, troubleshooting, and modifications of machine systems.
  • Revamp existing systems and manage project tasks effectively.
  • Design safety features for automation equipment.
  • Engage with clients, sales, and engineering teams during testing phases.
  • Travel to client locations for installation and troubleshooting support.
  • Offer technical assistance to maintenance personnel.
  • Identify opportunities for process enhancements and suggest improvements.
Qualifications

Education: Completion of a technical/vocational program or equivalent experience in mechanical or pneumatic assembly. Electrical training is advantageous.

Experience/Skills:

  • 4-5 years of experience in the assembly of industrial automation machinery.
  • Field service experience with proficiency in hand and power tools.
  • At least 2 years of experience with large, complex automation systems.
  • Basic skills in machining and toolmaking.
  • Preferred experience in project management.
Additional Information

Physical and Visual Demands:

  1. Constant standing, walking, and grasping required.
  2. Ability to lift and move objects of specified weights.
  3. Specific vision capabilities and manual dexterity are necessary.
  4. Quick reaction time and flexibility are essential.

Mental Requirements:

Strong deductive and mathematical reasoning skills, along with the ability to concentrate and communicate effectively.

Working Environment:

  1. Primarily in a plant setting (100%)
  2. Minimal travel required (0%)

Tools and Equipment:

Utilization of tools such as drills, grinders, and material handling equipment.
