Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Registered Nurse to join our Cardiology team at Northwell Health. As a key member of our healthcare team, you will be responsible for providing exceptional patient care and collaborating with physicians and other healthcare professionals to ensure the best possible outcomes.

Responsibilities
  • Conduct thorough patient assessments, develop and implement individualized care plans, and evaluate patient outcomes.
  • Collaborate with physicians and other healthcare team members to coordinate patient care and implement treatment plans.
  • Provide education and support to patients and their families, promoting health literacy and empowering them to take an active role in their care.
  • Participate in quality improvement initiatives, contributing to the development and implementation of evidence-based practices that enhance patient care and outcomes.
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with patients, families, and healthcare team members, fostering a culture of compassion, respect, and open communication.
Requirements
  • Current licensure as a Registered Professional Nurse in New York State.
  • 2 years of experience in cardiology, with a strong background in EKG interpretation and stress testing.
  • Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing, with a Bachelor's Degree in Nursing preferred.
  • Specialized certifications, such as those in cardiology or critical care, are highly desirable.
Preferred Skills
  • Ability to interpret EKGs and perform stress testing.
  • Experience with IV administration and other cardiovascular procedures.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
