Job Summary

The Registered Nurse NICU II position at North Suburban Medical Center is a critical role that requires advanced knowledge and skills in the care of infants. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing high-quality patient care, collaborating with the healthcare team, and contributing to the overall mission of the hospital.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide direct patient care to infants in the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit, including assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation of care.
  • Collaborate with the healthcare team to develop and implement individualized care plans for patients.
  • Participate in multidisciplinary rounds and contribute to the development of unit policies and procedures.
  • Provide education and support to patients and families, including breastfeeding support and neonatal care.
  • Contribute to the development and implementation of quality improvement initiatives to enhance patient care and outcomes.
Requirements
  • Basic Cardiac Life Support certification through the American Heart Association or the American Red Cross.
  • Neonate Resuscitation certification required within the first three months of hire.
  • STABLE certification preferred.
  • Current licensure in the State of Colorado as a Registered Nurse, or current active multistate Registered Nurse license.
  • Registered Nurse Diploma, Graduate of an Accredited School of Nursing; BSN desirable.
