About the Role

We are seeking a temporary Psychiatric Technician Trainee to join our team at State Hospital West (SHW) in Nampa. As a Psychiatric Technician Trainee, you will play a vital role in providing therapeutic care and support to adolescents with mental illnesses.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide a safe and supportive environment for patients
  • Implement treatment plans and monitor patient progress
  • Conduct therapeutic activities and group therapy sessions
  • Interact with patients to encourage positive behavior and provide input into treatment plans
  • Observe and record patient behavior and vital signs
Requirements
  • Some knowledge of personal hygiene and first aid
  • Experience following written and oral instructions
  • Ability to read and write in English
Preferred Qualifications
  • Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) Licensure
