Healthcare Operations Coordinator

At NYC Health + Hospitals, we are committed to delivering high-quality care services without exception. As a Coordinating Manager Level A, you will provide necessary support to the Medical Director and contribute to the Clinical and Administrative Functions of the Pathology and Laboratory Department.
Job Summary:This role involves providing administrative support to the Medical Director and supervising the daily operations of the Pathology/Laboratory Administrative Office. You will be responsible for preparing payroll, assisting with human resources management, preparing agendas and materials for meetings, and maintaining employee confidential files.
Responsibilities:- Prepare payroll and associated functions for HHC and NYU
- Assist Chief and Assistant Director with general Human Resources management actions
- Prepare agendas and assemble materials for meetings and conferences
- Prepare and edit correspondence and reports
- Maintain staffing schedules and employee confidential files
- Keep the Chief and Assistant Director informed of pending matters and appointments
In this role, you will also participate in Laboratory/Hospital In-Service and continuing education. Additionally, you will perform other functions as needed in the event of a shortage of personnel. The ideal candidate will promote a positive work environment through productive and professional interaction with patients and other hospital personnel.
Requirements:To be successful in this role, you will need a Baccalaureate Degree from an accredited college or university in Public Health, Public Administration, Business Administration, Social Work, Psychology, or Rehabilitation Counseling. Three years of full-time experience in medically-oriented health care and medical support systems environment are required, with two years of which included experience in an administrative or supervisory capacity. Alternatively, a Masters Degree with two years of experience and one year of administrative or supervisory experience is also acceptable.

The estimated salary for this role is $65,000 - $80,000 per annum, based on location and industry standards.
