POSITION SUMMARY:
The Clinical Nurse Supervisor plays a crucial role in overseeing the daily clinical operations of our facility. This position involves engaging with patients through therapeutic interactions, implementing physician directives, conducting thorough assessments, and developing and refining treatment plans. The supervisor is responsible for ensuring high-quality patient care, leading both group and individual therapy sessions, managing intake processes, and guaranteeing continuity of care. Additional responsibilities include administering treatments, maintaining clinical records, managing IV therapies, educating families, and supervising other mental health professionals.
KEY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: This role requires the successful execution of the following core functions:
Assessing patient care upon admission and consistently adhering to established nursing protocols. Overseeing the creation and upkeep of personalized nursing care plans for each patient. Delegating patient care responsibilities to the nursing staff. Reviewing staffing schedules to ensure sufficient coverage and making necessary adjustments for absences. Proficiently managing IV administration and venipuncture in accordance with state regulations. Providing education to patients and their families regarding medication management, treatment options, potential side effects, and essential self-care practices. Conducting comprehensive nursing assessments, treatments, and procedures. Performing psychiatric evaluations using standardized assessment tools. Dispensing medications within the scope of licensure and educational qualifications. Developing and reassessing discharge plans, including organizing post-hospital care to ensure smooth transitions. Delivering emergency medical assistance as required.Required Qualifications:
A minimum of one (1) year of clinical nursing experience, preferably in geriatric or mental health settings.Licensing and Certification Requirements:
Graduation from an accredited nursing program leading to a Registered Nursing (RN) license. A valid State RN License is mandatory. Current CPR and CPI Certifications are required.Additional Requirements:
Availability for unscheduled overtime and weekend shifts may be necessary. Flexibility to work non-traditional hours is essential. Occasional travel may be required.Physical Demands:
