Job Title: Diesel Technician

We are seeking a skilled Diesel Technician to join our team at Ryder System. As a Diesel Technician, you will be responsible for performing routine maintenance and repairs on our fleet of heavy-duty trucks.

Responsibilities:
  • Perform routine maintenance tasks such as oil changes, brake and tire work, and preventive maintenance checks.
  • Diagnose and repair complex issues with diesel engines, including advanced skilled level repairs.
  • Work independently and as part of a team to ensure quality of repair work and customer satisfaction.
  • Interact with customers to facilitate preventative maintenance, repair issue resolution, and discuss new repair estimates.
  • Coordinate work schedule as required by customers and ensure proper maintenance of all service, safety, and environmental records.
Requirements:
  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
  • Vocational or technical certification, post-secondary degree, or technical certifications preferred.
  • Basic tools required.
  • Three years or more relevant work experience preferred.
  • Valid Commercial Driver License (CDL) Class A preferred.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Flexibility to operate in a fast-paced environment.
