About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Workplace Designer to join our team at UPLIFT Desk. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for creating functional and aesthetically pleasing interior spaces tailored to the needs of our commercial clients.

Key Responsibilities
  • Collaborate with clients to understand their office furniture design needs and space requirements.
  • Refine design concepts based on client feedback and carefully listen to their needs.
  • Develop innovative office furniture layouts that optimize space, align with client goals, and meet industry standards.
  • Create detailed 2D and 3D renderings of proposed layouts, showcasing furniture placement, traffic flow, and material selections.
  • Recommend furniture options and configurations that balance client desires with budget constraints, offering alternatives when necessary.
  • Prepare proposal packages, including detailed specifications, material finishes, and quantity estimates, for client review.
  • Work with the Sales team to align design plans with client expectations, ensuring seamless coordination beyond installation.
  • Overcome challenges, especially when faced with spatial limitations, providing creative solutions that maintain functionality and style.
  • Monitor multiple project timelines simultaneously, ensuring that all deliverables are completed on time and to the highest quality standards.
  • Provide post-project support, including follow-up consultations with clients to ensure overall satisfaction with the final installation.
Requirements
  • Ability to design office furniture layouts.
  • Able to remain focused on multiple projects simultaneously with competing timelines.
  • Ability to effectively communicate with management, all departments, vendors, and clients.
  • Proficiency in reading and interpreting commercial floor plans, with the ability to identify and extract necessary information.
  • Familiarity with industry-specific design software (Configura CET, AutoCAD Revit layouts, etc.).
Preferred Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in design-related field (Interior Design, Architecture, Engineering, or related field).
  • Relevant certifications are a plus.
  • Familiarity with designing to state and federal requirements, such as ADA, ANSI, and IBC codes.
  • Experience with modular furniture design, specification, and installation plans.
  • Experience in client satisfaction and relationship management.
  • Strong problem-solving skills, using creativity to ensure functional and aesthetically pleasing solutions for unique client needs.

Position Details
  • Compensation: $24.00/hr.
  • Type: Full-time.
  • Employee Status: Regular.
