Job Summary

FirstHealth of the Carolinas, Inc. is seeking a skilled Medical Assistant to join our team as a Float Position. As a Medical Assistant, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality patient care and supporting our healthcare team.

Key Responsibilities
  • Obtain vital signs and general health information for patient charts and prepare patients for examination.
  • Assist healthcare providers as needed with examinations and procedures.
  • Assist in the collection of laboratory specimens and performance of tests on patients as ordered by healthcare providers or arrange for patient testing, admissions, and referrals.
  • Enter and record patient information in charts in a concise and accurate manner.
Requirements
  • LPN: Must be a graduate of an LPN program and have a current license. Must have clinic practice experience and prefer experience with delivering occupational health services.
  • CMA: Must be a graduate from an accredited Medical Assistant program. Knowledge of practice management systems, office automation skills, and extensive knowledge of CPT and ICD-10 coding. In addition, must possess experience assisting healthcare providers with patient care (vital signs, specimen collection, etc.).
  • Clinic Tech: Must have a current NC Paramedic or AEMT certificate.
Travel Requirements

This position will travel to all 9 Convenient Care locations.
