Prelude Fertility is seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Laboratory Support Specialist to join our team in the IVF laboratory. This role is responsible for providing daily administrative support to the laboratory and embryologists, ensuring the smooth operation of our IVF program.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide daily support to the IVF Laboratory and embryologists, ensuring timely completion of tasks and maintaining a high level of productivity.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date logs and clinical data, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements.
  • Enter specific clinical data into the Electronic Medical Record (EMR) system, ensuring accurate and timely documentation.
  • Transfer out and receive sperm, eggs, and embryos according to laboratory procedures, maintaining a high level of quality and safety.
  • Maintain Quality Control records, electronic and written QC records, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements.
  • Move and change supply tanks (compressed gas and liquid nitrogen), ensuring a safe and efficient working environment.
  • Maintain LN2 Dewar and Tank levels according to laboratory policies, ensuring a stable and reliable supply.
  • Keep the laboratory stocked and fully supplied through tracking and ordering of inventory, ensuring a seamless workflow.
  • Maintain the supply of all lab paperwork and cycle documents, ensuring accurate and timely documentation.
  • Maintain the lab staff schedule, ensuring adequate staffing and coverage.
  • Receive visitors, answer phone calls, and triage appropriately, providing excellent customer service.
  • Set up outside MD patient accounts in the EMR system and ensure patients are accurately scheduled in the EMR system, ensuring seamless communication and coordination.
  • Send semen analysis reports to Outside MDs and clinics daily, ensuring timely and accurate communication.
  • Order compressed gasses and liquid nitrogen to maintain an adequate supply, ensuring a stable and reliable supply.
  • Keep an accurate inventory and supply of compressed gasses, and liquid nitrogen, ensuring a seamless workflow.
  • Scan all lab charts into the EMR system, ensuring accurate and timely documentation.
  • Enter PGT patient results into each individual patient's cryopreservation record within the EMR, ensuring accurate and timely documentation.
  • Generate all IVF cycle patient reports in the EMR system, including but not limited to: fertilization & embryo transfer reports & Day 3 to Day 7 embryo grading reports, ensuring accurate and timely documentation.
  • Ensure the lab is organized and clean at all times, maintaining a safe and efficient working environment.
  • Perform other duties as assigned, ensuring flexibility and adaptability in a fast-paced environment.

Requirements:

  • High School Diploma required, Associate's or Bachelor's degree is preferred.
  • Two years of related clerical/administrative job experience strongly preferred.
  • Strong attention to detail and organization and at least one year of experience working in a laboratory setting preferred.
