Overview:
Lifeline of Ohio, a leading organization in promoting organ donation, seeks an experienced Organ Recovery Coordinator I. This full-time position requires strong clinical knowledge and excellent communication skills. The ideal candidate will work collaboratively with medical professionals to coordinate organ recovery procedures, ensuring seamless transitions from referral to recovery.

The successful candidate will possess a bachelor's degree in a clinical field, effective knowledge of medical terminology, and understanding of UNOS, OPTN, and CMS/FDA regulations. Additionally, they must obtain Basic Life Support (BLS) certification within the introductory period. Responsibilities:
• Evaluate potential donor referrals, conduct comprehensive suitability evaluations, and transition suitable referrals to Family Services for authorization.
• Verify brain death testing, donation authorization, and UDRAI completion, ensuring accuracy and completeness.
• Initiate organ donor cases, obtaining blood specimens, labeling, and packaging for shipment to designated facilities.
• Collaborate with hospital professionals and medical examiners to ensure necessary information is communicated and specimens obtained.
• Maintain real-time documentation in Lifeline electronic medical records systems from case start to recovery.

Requirements:
• Bachelor's degree in a clinical field or equivalent combination of certification and experience.
• Effective knowledge of medical terminology and clinical care principles.
• Understanding of UNOS, OPTN, and CMS/FDA regulations.
• Must obtain Basic Life Support (BLS) certification within the introductory period.
