Overview:
This role is essential within a robust manufacturing organization, focusing on financial oversight and strategic analysis.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Develop and sustain timely financial reports and visualizations to facilitate informed decision-making.
2. Engage in month-end closing activities, including drafting journal entries, reviewing account activities, and identifying necessary accruals and allocations.
3. Prepare month-end account reconciliations and address any discrepancies in transactions.
4. Assess procurement, labor, and production costs across various operational sites.
5. Manage customer pricing documentation and processes.
6. Analyze logistics expenses and track monthly trends.
7. Conduct sales, margin, and expense analysis and reporting.
8. Collect and consolidate data from key stakeholders for weekly metric reporting.
9. Maintain the KPC Global Strategic Initiatives Tracker.
10. Participate in the annual budgeting and quarterly financial forecasting.
11. Provide necessary audit documentation and liaise with internal and external audit teams.
12. Implement financial controls to ensure compliance with regulatory standards.
13. Identify opportunities for improvement and advocate for innovative solutions.
14. Promote cross-training within the department and assist colleagues during high-demand periods.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field; CPA or CPA track preferred.
- 3-7 years of experience in a public accounting firm or private industrial sector, with a preference for manufacturing experience.
- Familiarity with Sarbanes-Oxley internal accounting control procedures.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint), report writing applications, and data extraction/consolidation; experience with ERP systems is a plus.
- Knowledge of inventory and manufacturing cost accounting is preferred.
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision, making decisions on routine operations.
- Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to keep management informed.
- Commitment to professional development through educational workshops and literature.
- Willingness to travel occasionally (10% or less) and work non-standard hours during peak periods.
- Excellent organizational and interpersonal skills, along with strong analytical and reasoning capabilities.
Technical Skills:
- Experience with PowerBI, Excel, and basic SQL queries is advantageous.
Relocation:
- Eligible for relocation.
