Job Title: SIC Electrician

We are seeking a skilled Electrician to join our team for a project in Griffin, GA.

Job Summary

The successful candidate will be responsible for installing and maintaining electrical systems, including blueprints, sketches, and building plans. They will work within precise limits or standards of accuracy and prepare layouts using voltage testers, wire strippers, levels, and pipe benders.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

1. Knowledgeable with blueprints, sketches, and building plans pertaining to type of material
2. Work within precise limits or standards of accuracy
3. Prepares layout, using voltage tester, wire strippers, level, pipe benders, etc.
4. Terminates panels utilizing LOTO
5. Plan sequence of installation to avoid obstructions and activities of other construction workers
6. Run cable tray, pulls wire, and bend various types of conduit
7. Understands motor controls and metering
8. Size branch circuit overcurrent protection devices
9. Calculate loads for single-phase and three-phase branch circuits
10. Rates information using standards, which can be measured or checked
11. Reviews and compares differences in the size, shape, and form of lines, figures, and objects
12. Follow directions, plans, and blueprints
13. Perform work overhead, beneath structure, and from various other positions as required by working conditions
14. Make decisions based on measurable criteria
15. Visualize objects in three dimensions from plans and drawings
16. Lift and carry objects of varying weights
17. Detect, recognize, and respond to dangerous conditions or situations
18. Regular attendance is required
19. Significant travel may be required
20. Performs other duties as required

Qualifications & Skills

The ideal candidate will be skilled in both written and verbal communication and will have completed all safety and general job training as required by SIC.

They will observe SIC and customer safety and quality processes and procedures at all times.

Physical Requirements/Job Site Requirements

The successful candidate must be able to effectively use all required PPE equipment and lift up to 50 pounds.

Conditions include working in office, shop, busy traffic areas, warehouses, and undeveloped properties, with frequent exposure to dirt, dust, grease, oil, vibrations, and adverse weather conditions.

They must be able to safely access all areas of property, buildings, structures, wharves, rooftops, and other elevated positions, as well as confined spaces.

Strenuous physical demands are required to safely perform the essential functions associated with this position.

They must be able to safely operate all involved equipment and tools.

They must be capable of standing for long periods of time, bending consistently, working in confined spaces with limited access, on ladders, in personnel lifts, in workboats, and working in awkward body positions.
