Job Description

Great Opportunity:

Electronic Security Services, Inc. (ESSI) has a great opportunity for skilled professionals to join our team as Security Systems Technicians. We are currently looking to expand our team and are hiring individuals who possess a good work ethic and desire long-term full-time employment.

What You Will Do:

  • Complete assigned security system service repair orders and installation projects of access control, video surveillance systems, intercoms, and gate operators.
  • Follow troubleshooting procedures and refer to technical manuals and parts manuals in order to diagnose and repair equipment or systems.
  • Access software in order to correct problems.
  • Diagnose hardware problems and replace or repair defective equipment as required.
  • Troubleshoot potential networking problems and field wiring problems.
  • IT and Networking experience is helpful, but not required.
  • Repair and service equipment to meet customer expectations and manufacturer specifications.
  • Field coordination and communication with dispatchers, other technicians.
  • Provide specific solutions and recommendations on restoring a specific system back to normal condition.
  • Customer satisfaction through coordination, response to customer requests and problems, and clear communication skills.
  • Maintain proper paperwork.
  • May be required to work overtime.
  • Understand diagrams, software/system programs, and operation/product manuals.
  • Required to lift and/or carry equipment and tools, which may be over forty (40) pounds. Working environment may involve climbing ladders and scaffoldings with equipment, upwards to forty (40) feet. Capable of working in cramped workspaces.
  • Maintain efficient truck inventory to ensure timely response to customers' needs.

 

Qualifications We Are Looking For:

  • A good driving record and ability to pass a background check is required.
  • Educational: High School Degree/Trade school(s) or any other related training for gate automation, mechanical, electrical, welding, etc.
  • Experience with Physical Security Systems.
  • Basic low-voltage electrical experience.
  • General knowledge of hand tools, which will be used to install, service, and repair new and existing security equipment.
  • Mechanical skills are helpful.

Work Schedule:

  • Monday - Friday, 8:00am - 4:30pm.
  • Overtime may be available.
  • Full-time position.
