Job Summary

Norton Sound Health Corporation is seeking a highly skilled Primary Care Coordinator to support the Patient Centered Medical Home initiative. As a key member of our team, you will work closely with the Primary Care Manager and Wellness Director to provide administrative support for day-to-day activities.

Key Responsibilities
  • Maintain and update the Primary Care Medical Staff Master Schedule, the Primary Care Provider Shift Board Schedule, and other scheduling platforms in coordination with the Primary Care Clinic Manager, Medical Staff Physician Administrator, and Medical Director.
  • Provide Scheduling and Case Management Support for the Primary Care Clinic during times of short staffing.
  • Collect and distribute Primary Care Clinic mail and confidential information between departments.
  • Coordinate with Primary Care Staff for timecards, travel, etc.
  • Coordinate meetings between multiple departments as needed in support of the Patient Centered Medical Home.
  • Record and edit the minutes of meetings and distribute to appropriate officials or staff members.
  • Issue staff notification of all official activities or meetings.
  • Record and maintain all vital meeting records.
  • Prepare meeting agendas or packets of related information.
  • Assist with hiring and onboarding process for new staff.
  • Provides department-specific orientation in collaboration with the Primary Care Manager to help orient new staff to Primary Care, other departments, and facility introductions.
  • Collect, organize, and get processing approval for Check Requests, Continuing Education Training Recaps, and Travel Recaps for all Primary Care Staff.
  • Assist with purchase orders and tracking of purchased items.
  • Assist with typing of Policy and Procedures, meeting minutes, and other documents as designated.
  • Assist with maintaining employee files to include but not limited to tracking competencies and ensuring necessary documents are included in the employee's HR file.
  • Assists PCC and Med staff with panel management for Teams.
