Your Key Responsibilities

  • Manage export control matters within the organization, acting as the Export Control Empowered Official.
  • Evaluate and track national and international export control regulations to determine their relevance and applicability to the organization.
  • Assist in the classification and jurisdiction process for products and technologies; apply for and maintain necessary government export authorizations.
  • Ensure adherence to export control laws and regulations, including export authorizations and the organization’s compliance program.
  • Initiate and oversee assessment programs concerning export control issues.
  • Facilitate training sessions and assist the Regional Export Control Manager with daily operations and special initiatives.


Your Qualifications

Minimum Requirements:

  • Post-secondary degree in a relevant field.
  • At least 5 years of pertinent experience in export control.
  • In-depth knowledge of US Export Control Laws and Regulations, along with familiarity with Canadian and EU Export Control regulations.
  • Proficient in assessing and executing tasks related to Export Control.
  • Strong technical skills and experience in jurisdiction and classification analysis, coupled with excellent analytical and organizational abilities.
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, capable of conveying information clearly and professionally.
  • High level of reliability and conscientiousness, with the ability to make informed, fact-based decisions and evaluate risks.
  • Competent in reviewing and understanding export control agreements, licenses/permits, and regulatory language.
  • Experience with SAP GTS Export Control tool or similar software.
  • This position requires compliance with Export Control regulations, thus necessitating a "US Person" as defined by 22 C.F.R. §.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience in export control within the aerospace sector.
  • Prior experience as an Empowered Official.
