Job Summary
Murfreesboro City Schools is seeking a qualified Substitute Teacher to join our team. As a Substitute Teacher, you will be responsible for providing instruction and supervision to students in the absence of the regular teacher.
Key Responsibilities
- Implement lesson plans as outlined by the absent teacher, ensuring the integrity of academic time and motivating students to learn and participate.
- Maintain a discipline and classroom control that fosters a safe and positive environment for all students and staff.
- Report all student injuries, accidents, illnesses, and discipline problems to the appropriate authority immediately.
- Comply with and support school and division regulations and policies.
Qualifications
- High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent.
- Ability to follow oral and written directions and establish effective working relationships with staff and students.
- Ability to maintain effective classroom management strategies.
Benefits
- Base Pay: $110 per full day.
- Certified Teachers: $120 per full day.
- Monday & Friday Hard to Fill Days: Additional $10 Pay.
- Immediate $200 bonus on the 1st check of the month for work 15 full days a month.
Working Conditions
Part-time, as needed basis. Part-time employees are not eligible for benefits within our system.
