Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Respiratory Care Practitioner II to join our team at Bon Secours Mercy Health. As a key member of our respiratory therapy department, you will be responsible for providing high-quality patient care through assessment, planning, intervention, education, and evaluation.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide respiratory care services to patients, including oxygen therapy, aerosol therapy, and ventilator management.
  • Conduct patient assessments, analyze data, and develop plans of care to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
  • Collaborate with the interdisciplinary care team to coordinate patient care and ensure seamless transitions.
  • Set up and maintain respiratory therapy equipment and supplies, ensuring proper function and safety.
  • Respond to cardio-pulmonary resuscitations and participate in emergency situations as needed.
Requirements
  • Graduate of an AMA-approved school for Respiratory Care.
  • Current Respiratory Care License in the state of employment.
  • National Board for Respiratory Care (NBRC) credentialed.
  • Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) certification preferred.
  • Two years of experience as a Registered Respiratory Therapist or five years as a CRT working with patient populations from Nursery/NICU and/or ICU/CCU environments.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Bachelor's Degree in a related field.
  • EPIC Electronic Health Record (EHR) training.
  • Additional certifications, such as NRP, CPFT, or RPFT.
