Position Overview
Ridgeview Institute Smyrna is looking for a dedicated Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist to join our outpatient services team in Smyrna, Georgia.

The Outpatient Family Therapist plays a crucial role in delivering social services aimed at addressing the bio-psychosocial needs of patients. This includes facilitating access to therapeutic interventions that support emotional well-being. Responsibilities encompass:

  • Conducting educational and therapeutic group sessions.
  • Engaging in continuous professional development in individual, family, and group therapy.
  • Providing individual, couples, and family counseling as per scheduled appointments.
  • Adhering to medical/legal reporting standards for cases such as child and dependent adult abuse.
  • Representing the facility in legal proceedings as necessary.
  • Assessing and identifying psychosocial, educational, and behavioral needs of patients and their families.
  • Applying knowledge of bio-psychosocial factors and relevant diagnostic criteria in treatment planning.
  • Supervising and directing other staff in the execution of care plans.

Qualifications
We are seeking candidates with the following qualifications:

  • Education: Master’s Degree in Social Work or a related mental health field from an accredited institution.
  • Experience: Minimum of two years in a psychiatric healthcare setting, with direct involvement in family and group therapies, crisis intervention, and clinical assessment.
  • Certifications: CPR/First Aid and CPI Training.
  • Flexibility: Willingness to work flexible hours and overtime as needed.
