We are seeking a skilled and driven professional to join our team as a Senior Marketing Financial Analysis Accountant in Houston, TX. This role is pivotal in supporting our marketing and midstream financial operations.


Key Responsibilities:
  • Maintain and enhance financial models for the marketing/midstream segment, focusing on crude oil, natural gas, power, and NGLs.
  • Execute system uploads for annual budgets, monthly forecasts, pricing, and other essential business metrics.
  • Analyze income statements and assess profit and loss (PnL) business drivers.
  • Evaluate segment cash flow and analyze changes in working capital.
  • Review balance sheet activities related to marketing operations, including line-fill, inventory, and prepaids, assessing their impact on financial statements.
  • Conduct detailed variance analysis across multiple scenarios (actuals vs. outlook, month-over-month, quarter-over-quarter, year-over-year).
  • Document findings with clear and concise written explanations for management review.
  • Utilize and develop formulas and automation processes to efficiently consolidate data from various internal systems into actionable insights.
  • Review marketing contracts to understand their financial implications.
  • Identify opportunities for process improvements to enhance efficiency and reduce manual tasks.
  • Collaborate with accounting to address and rectify any discrepancies in financial statements.
  • Support internal and external audit and tax inquiries.
  • Record journal entries and prepare account reconciliations.
  • Generate ad hoc reports and undertake special projects as required.

This role is integral to our financial operations, ensuring accuracy and efficiency in our marketing financial analysis.
