Senior Financial Data Analyst Lead

We are seeking a Research Lead to join our North American Natural Gas team.
The role of the team is to deliver data-driven analysis and reports as our customers worldwide rely on our expertise to make their trading and investment decisions.
The team also offers in-depth views and explanations of our forecasted data in thought leadership reports.
Our customers span over the Natural Gas and LNG producers, importers, distribution companies, trading houses, and financial and governmental institutions.
Lead the analytical offering:
Identify, support, and implement opportunities for the development of the US natural gas fundamental and pricing analysis and forecasting, including:
- Contribute to and be the market lead analyst for the regular market analysis commentary, providing customers with the gas fundamentals they need to know through regular reports and presentations.
- Identify new content needs and build new data and analysis offerings.
- Provide data insights through visual analytic dashboards.
- Shape and implement strategies to enhance market data and reports.
- Organize US gas team collaboration and align content, model, and report methodology with the global teams.
- Connect with customers on data or market explanation queries.
- Improve content and design of our Workspace-based analytical tools, charts, and tables.
- Collaborate across wider commodities Research team members for process and policy alignment, methods of work, and standard methodologies.
Key requirements include:
- Proven experience (5+ years) in the energy sector, with a focus on the North American gas market analysis.
- Excellent writing skills with a consistent track record of producing detailed and insightful market reports.
- Good project management skills with the ability to drive projects in a global and multicultural environment.
- Proficiency in the use of analytical software (Excel) and experience with programming (e.g., Python, VBA, or equivalent) and Power BI is an additional strength.
