Capital Markets Public Finance Senior Analyst/Banker Role

Key Responsibilities:
  • Analyze complex information requests and financing situations to provide high-level quantitative analyses.
  • Work closely with the Capital Markets Municipal Underwriter to structure and price customer debt offerings.
  • Conceptualize various financing alternatives that fit a customer's individual situation and advise them on the best methods for obtaining the funding they need.
  • Supervise Capital Markets Quantitative Analyst(s) and ensure the quality and timeliness of their work.
  • Solicit inclusion in underwriting groups or financial advisory contracts as directed by the Capital Markets Public Finance Manager.
  • Prepare or oversee the preparation of Frost's response to Requests for Proposals from municipalities as directed by the Capital Markets Public Finance Manager.
  • Work closely with Bankers from Frost Bank's Public Finance Department to refer opportunities to them for direct financing and other bank services.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in Economics, Business Management, or Finance.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Knowledge of the applicable laws, rulings, and regulations pertaining to municipal finance.
  • 5+ years of experience in municipal finance.
  • Proficient in Microsoft computer applications, DBC, and IPREO software.
Additional Preferred Skills:
  • An existing book of relationships with municipal finance managers.
  • School District CFO or Superintendent experience.
