Position Overview

The Manufacturing Operations Supervisor plays a crucial role in overseeing production activities to ensure operations are conducted safely, efficiently, and within designated timelines. This position is responsible for creating production schedules and assigning daily tasks based on operational requirements and individual capabilities. A hands-on approach is essential, as this role involves direct support for team members on the production floor. Key Responsibilities

  • Ensure all tasks are performed safely and in compliance with company policies and applicable regulations.
  • Communicate effectively with team members, providing training and guidance to meet operational goals.
  • Mentor and develop junior supervisors, offering constructive feedback to enhance communication skills.
  • Manage personnel assignments based on manufacturing demand and operational schedules.
  • Evaluate equipment capacity and material availability to optimize production output.
  • Assess employee skills to align them with the requirements of various manufacturing areas.
  • Monitor and analyze production metrics, labor efficiency, and quality indicators for assigned departments.
  • Drive performance improvements in key operational metrics.
  • Foster collaborative relationships with other departments, including Maintenance, Engineering, and Quality Assurance, to meet production targets.
  • Participate in regular management meetings to discuss production performance and improvement strategies.
  • Oversee the implementation of the Environmental Management System (EMS) as outlined in company policies.

Qualifications

  • 1-3 years of relevant supervisory experience.
  • Familiarity with Occupational Health and Safety regulations and labor laws.
  • Strong skills in conflict resolution and time management.
  • Excellent communication, organizational, and leadership abilities.
  • Proficient in computer applications and technology.
  • Ability to work collaboratively and guide team efforts effectively.
  • Capability to make decisions and manage operations with minimal supervision.
  • Solid knowledge of Microsoft Office applications.
  • Willingness to support operations across various shifts as needed.
  • Proven ability to achieve business results independently and through team collaboration.
