Key Responsibilities:
- Assist with cutting and processing whole muscle proteins into finish product sizes.
- Operate various equipment, including shakers, tumblers, mixers, and packaging machinery.
- Remove excess fat, bones, and cartilage from product.
- Inspect product for quality and remove defects from the line during cooking.
- Break up product clusters as required.
- Monitor equipment for unusual noises and report any issues.
- Assist with washing machinery during species/protein changes.
- Record various components, including lot numbers and best-by dates.
- Remove boxes from the line and place them into outer cases for shipping.
- Label boxes correctly with product and lot number information.
- Develop knowledge of equipment and report any unusual noises.
- Ensure the quality of the finished product and watch for foreign material or contamination.
- Maintain a clean work area and follow Good Manufacturing Procedures and Standard Operating Procedures.
Requirements:
- High School diploma or equivalent.
- Good communication skills and a positive attitude.
- Lifting of 25 pounds repetitively may be required.
- Previous food manufacturing experience is preferred.
- Overtime may be required on occasion.
