We are currently seeking a Community Corrections Supervisor I who is dedicated to delivering the highest quality of care in a residential environment.

The Community Corrections Supervisor I is accountable for overseeing the facility's population, ensuring safety, security, and cleanliness within the premises. This position is essential for the care, custody, and control of residents, fostering a secure atmosphere for staff, visitors, and residents alike.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Supervise resident activities and report any suspicious behavior or breaches of policies, procedures, or regulations by residents or others.
  • Conduct resident counts, searches, room inspections, and vehicle checks as necessary.
  • Administer drug and alcohol testing as required or directed by facility management.
  • Facilitate the intake and discharge processes for residents in accordance with established policies and procedures.
  • Oversee resident worker tasks, providing necessary guidance and ensuring adherence to standards and procedures for quality work.
  • Respond to emergencies, providing basic medical aid and CPR, and ensuring the safe evacuation of individuals from hazardous situations.

Qualifications:

  • High School diploma, GED certification, or equivalent is required.
  • Experience in the operations of a correctional facility is preferred.
  • Effective verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to apply problem-solving techniques to complex situations.
  • Availability to work any hours and shifts as needed.
  • Completion of pre-service and other training programs as required.
  • Minimum age requirement: Must be at least 18 years old.
  • A valid driver's license is preferred.
