About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Behavioral Health Technician to join our team at Rockford Center. As a Behavioral Health Technician, you will play a vital role in providing direct patient care to individuals with psychiatric disorders, ensuring their safety and well-being.

Key Responsibilities
  • Monitor unit patients and complete rounds as assigned
  • Participate in treatment planning
  • Assist in the admission process
  • Orient new patients to the unit and their program
  • Plan and prepare for group therapy sessions
  • Maintain patient, program, department and related documentation

Qualifications

To be considered for this role, you will need:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Psychology or similar previous experience with adults in a behavioral health setting
  • Two (2) years of related experience, with knowledge of psychiatric patient care techniques with understanding of mental illness, preferred
  • CPR certification and Completion of Handle with Care training during orientation process
