Surgical Technologist II

As a Surgical Technologist II at Kaiser Permanente, you will play a vital role in the surgical team, assisting physicians during procedures and maintaining aseptic conditions in the operating room. This is a challenging and rewarding position that requires attention to detail, strong communication skills, and the ability to work well under pressure.
Key Responsibilities- Assist physicians during surgical procedures, passing instruments and supplies as directed.
- Prepare and organize the operating room prior to surgery, ensuring a safe and efficient environment.
- Maintain aseptic conditions throughout the procedure, adhering to established policies and procedures.
- Assist with patient care during and after surgery, providing support and comfort as needed.
- Collaborate with the surgical team to ensure smooth and efficient procedures.
- Restock surgical supplies, assist with inventory management, and participate in education and in-services as needed.
- One year of operating room or military equivalent experience in a scrub role within the last two years or recent completion of an operating room training program.
- Surgical Technologist Certificate within six months of hire from the National Board of Surgical Technology and Surgical Assisting.
- Basic Life Support certification.
- Ability to scrub all types of surgical cases except open heart.
