Surgical Technologist II- Operating Room Professional

Surgical technologists play a vital role in the healthcare team, providing essential support during surgical procedures. At Rady Children's Hospital, we seek a skilled Surgical Technologist II to join our operating room team.
Key Responsibilities:- Assist in the preparation and maintenance of the operating room environment to ensure a safe and efficient surgical experience.
- Collaborate with the surgical team to ensure the smooth conduct of procedures, adhering to sterile and aseptic techniques.
- Utilize knowledge of human anatomy, surgical procedures, and implementation tools to facilitate the performance of invasive therapeutic and diagnostic procedures.
- Participate in the development and implementation of policies and procedures to maintain a high level of patient care and safety.
- Contribute to the education and training of surgical technologists and other healthcare professionals.
- High school diploma, GED, or equivalent.
- 3 years of experience in surgical technology, with a focus on pediatric care.
- National Surgical Tech Certification.
- Current BLS for Healthcare Providers, issued by AHA.
- Advanced experience in cardiac, neurosurgery, orthopedics, or general surgical procedures.
- Prior experience as a lead surgical technologist responsible for a service line.
- Prior experience caring for patients in a pediatric trauma facility.
- 4 years of experience in surgical technology, with a focus on pediatric care.
