We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Surgical Technologist II to join our team at Kaiser Permanente. As a key member of our surgical team, you will play a vital role in ensuring the smooth operation of our operating rooms.
Key Responsibilities- Assist surgeons during surgical procedures, maintaining a high level of asepsis and adhering to established policies and procedures.
- Prepare and organize operating rooms, selecting and passing instruments as directed by the surgeon.
- Collaborate with the surgical team to ensure efficient and safe patient care.
- Participate in preoperative and postoperative patient care, including preparing patients for surgery and assisting with recovery.
- Restock surgical supplies, assist with inventory management, and participate in education and in-services as needed.
- One year of operating room or military equivalent experience in a scrub role within the last two years or recent completion of an operating room training program.
- Surgical Technologist Certificate within six months of hire from the National Board of Surgical Technology and Surgical Assisting.
- Basic Life Support certification.
