Position Summary

As a key member of our dining team, you will ensure a welcoming atmosphere and provide outstanding food and beverage service to our guests. Your responsibilities will include maintaining cleanliness and organization in the dining area while assisting with various food service tasks.

Key Responsibilities
  • Welcome guests warmly and provide attentive service.
  • Take and accurately process food and beverage orders.
  • Effectively communicate menu items, ingredients, and preparation methods to guests.
  • Clear and reset tables efficiently.
  • Verify guest identification to ensure compliance with legal drinking age regulations.
  • Maintain a clean and organized restaurant environment by disposing of waste and cleaning service areas.
  • Participate in routine deep cleaning of the dining area.
  • Handle cash transactions accurately and follow company policies regarding cash management.
  • Deliver high-quality customer service and assist guests with any inquiries.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned by management.
Supportive Duties

In addition to your primary responsibilities, you may be asked to assist with the following tasks based on operational needs:
  • Address guest inquiries and concerns.
  • Adhere to all safety and security protocols.
  • Report any maintenance issues or safety hazards.
  • Complete other reasonable tasks as directed by supervisors.
Physical Requirements
  • Work primarily indoors with moderate temperature control.
  • Ability to work in extreme temperatures, such as kitchens and storage areas.
  • Stand and move at a steady pace for extended periods.
  • Lift up to 45 lbs. and maneuver equipment weighing up to 250 lbs.
  • Engage in various physical activities, including bending, climbing, and reaching.
Qualifications

The ideal candidate will possess the following skills and attributes:

  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Excellent customer service and interpersonal skills.
  • Detail-oriented with effective organizational abilities.
  • Basic computer and mathematical skills.
  • Ability to handle customer interactions with patience and professionalism.
  • Familiarity with food and beverage service standards.
  • Knowledge of various alcoholic beverages and their characteristics.
Education and Experience

A high school diploma or equivalent is required. Previous experience in food service is preferred.

Certifications

Must be at least 21 years old to serve alcohol. Relevant food safety and alcohol service certifications are required.

Grooming Standards

All team members are expected to maintain a professional appearance in accordance with Azul Hospitality's grooming standards.

Attendance Expectations

Consistent attendance is crucial for this role. Adherence to scheduled shifts and participation in training sessions is mandatory.
