Job Summary

The University of Colorado Libraries is seeking a skilled Events Coordinator and Receptionist to join our team. This role is responsible for coordinating events, providing administrative support, and serving as a liaison between the Libraries and various stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities
  • Events Coordination
    • Coordinate all logistical aspects of Libraries events, including scheduling, catering, room reservations, and mailings.
    • Determine, write, communicate, and implement Libraries policies and procedures for event support.
    • Serve as the main point of contact for event organizers and library leads to understand event needs and confirm all needs are met for each event.
  • Receptionist and Administrative Support
    • Provide receptionist services in the Administration office suite, greeting and directing visitors as scheduled.
    • Handle a wide variety of queries from constituents and direct them to appropriate locations using a detailed knowledge of the building and organization.
    • Act as a back-up for all functions of the Deans' Assistants, including scheduling, annotating, analyzing, and editing meeting summaries and reports.
  • Professional Development
    • Engage in continuing education, participate in professional organizations, enroll in training programs, and conduct research to enhance skills and knowledge.
  • Special Projects
    • Complete special projects as requested, thinking critically about goals and proactively anticipating needs of the Deans.
Requirements
  • Must be a Colorado Resident.
  • Two years of experience in an occupational field related to the work assigned to the position.
  • Appropriate education will substitute for the required experience on a year-for-year basis.
