Position Overview
The Surgical Services Supervisor plays a crucial role in the management and oversight of nursing services, ensuring compliance with all relevant federal, state, and local regulations. This position is responsible for the strategic planning, organization, and development of nursing operations to maintain the highest standards of patient care.
Key Responsibilities:
- Direct supervision of nursing staff and performance improvement initiatives.
- Oversee quality control and quality improvement processes.
- Facilitate ongoing education and professional development for nursing personnel.
- Conduct performance evaluations in collaboration with the Director of Surgical Services.
- Manage orientation and competency assessments for clinical and technical skills.
- Participate in various committees to enhance service delivery.
- Assume full responsibility for surgical services in the absence of the Director.
Qualifications:
Required:
- Graduation from an accredited nursing program.
- Active Montana Registered Nurse License upon hire.
- Current National Provider BLS certification from the American Heart Association.
- A minimum of one year of management experience.
- At least two years of clinical nursing experience.
Preferred:
- Bachelor's Degree in Nursing.
- Provider Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) certification from the American Heart Association upon hire.
