Role Summary:

The Lead Associate in the Inbound department is responsible for overseeing and coordinating receiving operations and other warehouse activities in alignment with established protocols. This role involves direct engagement with team members and the management of various processes.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Supervise the receiving and storage processes to ensure efficiency.
  • Verify that all incoming goods are accurately checked and stored in compliance with company standards.
  • Ensure that team members adhere to quality benchmarks and operational procedures.
  • Facilitate training for both new and existing staff on essential processes and protocols.
  • Maintain precise and organized documentation related to the receiving process.
  • Utilize equipment such as lift trucks and pallet jacks to safely handle materials and manage loading and unloading tasks.
  • Conduct inventory cycle counts in accordance with established guidelines and collaborate on solutions for inventory discrepancies.
  • Inspect incoming shipments for damage, document findings, and manage claims efficiently.
  • Foster a positive work environment through effective communication and collaboration with colleagues and management.
  • Commit to continuous improvement by expanding knowledge and utilizing tools to enhance operational efficiency.

Qualifications and Skills:

  • 3 to 4 years of experience in a distribution center receiving role.
  • Fundamental understanding of replenishment, picking, shipping, and inventory management.
  • Ability to operate independently with minimal supervision.
  • Exceptional organizational capabilities.
  • High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent qualification.
  • Willingness to work overtime as needed.
  • Strong communication, organizational, and time management skills.
