Job Title: Operations Supervisor

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Operations Supervisor to join our team at Penske Logistics LLC. As an Operations Supervisor, you will be responsible for leading a team of logistics professionals to ensure the efficient and effective execution of daily tasks and activities.

Key Responsibilities:
  • People: Establish and sustain a high-performing team by providing coaching, training, and development opportunities to associates.
  • Operations: Supervise logistics operations, including customer service, freight loading and unloading, dispatch, and proper documentation and procedure control.
  • Finance: Ensure compliance with financial policies and procedures, including tracking MPG, returns, damages, and other relevant metrics.
  • Safety: Ensure a safe working environment by conducting regular safety observations and providing training and feedback to associates.
  • Growth/Customer Experience: Understand customer goals and objectives and work to meet and exceed these expectations daily.
Requirements:
  • Demonstrated leadership qualities with strong interpersonal skills and the ability to connect, build rapport, and maintain solid relationships with associates, company leadership, internal and external customers.
  • Ability to work efficiently and independently with strong time management and organizational skills.
  • Strong written and oral communication skills and the ability to actively listen.
  • Ability to manage through a problem, think critically, and make decisions independently.
  • Ability to drive process improvement and lead change.
  • Proficient computer skills, including Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint.
Physical Requirements:
  • The physical and mental demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an associate to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.
  • The associate will be required to read, communicate verbally and/or in written form, remember and analyze certain information, and remember and understand certain instructions or guidelines.
  • The associate must be able to occasionally lift and/or move up to 25lbs/12kg.
