We are currently seeking a dedicated Phlebotomy Laboratory Assistant.

Incentives:
$2,500 sign-on bonus available for new hires (previous employees who have been away for over a year are also eligible).

Work Hours: 20 hours per week.

Shift Details:
Day shift with weekend duties and a rotation of 1 Saturday every 4 weeks; 8:00 AM - 4:00 PM.

Key Responsibilities:

Under the supervision of the Laboratory Site Manager or designated personnel, you will be responsible for:

  • Collecting accurate specimens and volumes in accordance with established protocols.
  • Ensuring all specimens are properly labeled and delivered to the appropriate laboratory departments.
  • Entering specimen and patient data into the Laboratory Information System (LIS) or departmental logs.
  • Generating and distributing accurate reports promptly.
  • Performing phlebotomy on inpatients, outreach clients, home draws, nursing homes, and other locations.
  • Maintaining laboratory equipment and instruments.

Qualifications:
Completion of a nationally accredited phlebotomy program or Medical Laboratory Assistant program is required.

Certification from the American Society for Clinical Pathology Board of Certification (ASCP BOC or equivalent) must be obtained within two years of hire.

Applicants must be fully vaccinated against seasonal influenza and COVID-19 or qualify for an exemption for medical or personal reasons by signing a statement upon hiring.


Compensation:
USD $28.25 per hour.

Rotation Schedule:
1 Saturday every 4 weeks.
