Job Title: Lab Technician

Position Summary:

The Lab Technician is responsible for the collection and disposition of specimens that are required for each protocol.

Duties and Responsibilities:

· Maintain proficient working knowledge of FDA regulations and guidelines for clinical research

· Adhere to company Standard Operating Procedures, Good Clinical Practice and study protocols

· Attend Site Initiation Visits with CRC to ensure proper understanding of study protocols and laboratory specific requirements

· Collect, process and ship study labs as identified through study protocols

· Maintain and order supplies and equipment required

· Organize laboratory manual outlining requirements per protocol

· Assist with coordination of health fairs and community events through maintenance of supplies and providing staff support

· Maintain temperature logs in drug storage, refrigerator and freezers

· Order dry ice as needed

· Keep exam rooms stocked and organized

· Maintain OSHA compliance and universal precautions

· Monitor biohazard compliance

· Maintain schedule of quarterly calibrations for equipment at site

· Maintain clear communication with all research site staff

· Other duties as assigned by management

Education and Experience:

· Phlebotomy certification preferred

· Phlebotomy experience required

Qualifications and Requirements:

· Pleasant, outgoing, and mature

· Good communication and time management skills

· Attention to detail, self-disciplined and motivated

· High level of integrity and accountability

· Must be extremely organized

· Ability to function effectively and positively in a team environment

· Must exhibit accurate, complete, legible and timely use of communication methods

*Salary commensurate with experience
